System Utilities

The System Utilities module contains Module steps that allow you to maintain the system tables for suppliers, customers, employees, general ledger account structure and much more. It also has steps to display table attachments and to change or reattach tables.
System Utilities also includes the Activity Log. The Activity Log is a record of everything everybody in your company did while using the eTEK™ Accounting  application. After a period of time, this table can become quite large and can affect system performance. Therefore, the utilities provide the deletion of unnecessary or outdated records.
One of the goals of a relational database management system (RDBMS) is to eliminate the duplication of information and simply reference the required data as needed. In a typical business accounting application, almost all the data is associated with a particular entity (i.e., Customer, Employee, Vendor). In many cases, a supplier can also be a customer. One table People Places Things is created to contain only the information specific to a particular kind of entity.
The PPT Editor form in the eTEK™ Accounting  application may be accessed from the System Utilities Module - Data Entry "Ribbon" or from any form that requires information for an entity. This is done by double-clicking on the field where the information is needed. Double clicking on the field opens the PPT Editor form so that the user may enter the necessary data.
