Setting up Wage Groups and Classes
Setting up wage groups and wage classes is optional. If you do decide to use them, they should be set up before entering the employee information.
1. From the Payroll Module, choose the Data Entry "Ribbon" and the Add/Edit Wage Groups & Classes Module step.
2. The Payroll Wage Group Editor form will be displayed.
3. Select the wage group or press [New] to enter a new wage group.
4. If you selected to enter a new wage group, enter the wage group name. Press [Save] and exit to save the wage group information and return to the Payroll Wage Group Editor form.
5. For the chosen wage group, select the wage class from the ones listed in the drop down list or enter a new wage class number.
6. Enter the wage class information. On each wage class you can setup both earnings and deduction information.
7. Once the information has been entered, press [Save].
8. Then you can either continue entering wage classes for this wage group -or- Select another wage group -or- Choose [Close Window] to return to the main Module.
