Multiple Companies
To maintain referential integrity, multiple companies are set up by creating separate databases.
This section covers creating the separate database files. It also explains how to place a program icon on your Start Module.
These procedures enable you to maintain multiple companies in separate databases without re-attaching the database files every time you switch between companies. Simply open the appropriate company's data by selecting its program icon.
Multiple companies can also be set up to be re-attached each time you switch between companies. Make copies of the data and error databases. A copy of the code database is usually not required since all companies will share it. After the appropriate database files have been copied, run eTEK™ Accounting from the program icon. To switch between companies go to System Utilities Module >> Databases Group >> View/Attach Databases Action. From here, you will be asked to enter the paths of the database files for the company you wish to process.
