Enter/Edit Kits (Assemblies)
When this form first opens the default is the edit mode, which provides all of the capabilities used when defining a new kit as described in the next paragraph.
To create a new kit, click on the eTEK Toolbar (to the left of the Accounts Payable module) and then click New. This will open the form you will use to define a new kit and populate that kit with items using the Kit Contents and Inventory Information tabs.
Under the Kit Contents tab you are presented with the ability to select specific items from your inventory that you want to Add To Kit. Note the command buttons on the right allow you add and remove individual items as well as to remove all items. Available Items presented on this form above the Items In Kit so you can easily see yoiur progress in assembling your kit.
After you have added the items you want in your new kit, click on the Inventory Information tab to define the prices you want for the kit, including whatever different price levels you might want to assign to your new kit. You can also add notes applicable to what you have setup as a new kit, as wll as the status of the kit and UPC code. Please note carefully the system automatically calculates the cost of all items that you have setup in each kit (look down to the lower right of your form) so that when you are defining the kit price (or price levels) you can do so based on the aggregate cost of the items you had built in your kit.
