Starting eTEK™ Accounting from Microsoft Access
To run eTEK™ Accounting from within Microsoft Access, start the Access application. Once Access is open, the Open Database selector screen will be displayed. Choose the applicable code database from the Program Files directory and press [OK] or hit Enter. Doing this, will automatically open your code database.
DO NOT modify data entry information at the table level. In most cases, data entered into one table will indirectly affect several other tables. Deleting or changing information at the table level can easily destroy your accounting database referential integrity. ALL information entered into the eTEK™ Accounting application can be edited on the data entry forms.
Having access to the tables provides an excellent opportunity for developing custom queries and reports via "linked tables". Make a back up of your system before editing any objects.
For information on writing and editing queries and reports, see the documentation that came with your copy of Microsoft Access.
