Using the
AP/AR Invoice Startup
Normally, beginning balances for general ledger accounts are entered as of a pre-determined cut-off date.
This date may coincide with the end of a fiscal year or accounting period. Accounts payable
or accounts receivable invoices dated prior to the cut-off date are included in the beginning balances and should be marked as updated to the general ledger.
Running this step will prevent the open invoices from posting to the general ledger and altering the beginning balances. This procedure should not be run for invoices dated after the beginning balance cut-off date.
